Becoming Bristol

Bristol’s grandparents, who are raising her, would not be able take her out of the house unless they carried her. She would refuse to walk on her own and would often drop to the floor and cry. Further, Bristol had no words or play skills. Until they found Center for Spectrum Services.

Bristol is one of the students in our Ellenville School who came to us only three years ago. Today, Bristol is learning to communicate with words and signs.

She now plays with puzzles, builds with blocks and loves going on community walks with her class. Learning how to be social, she holds hands with her friends, and even assists her classmates by zipping their jackets.

Because we are here, Bristol’s life is on a totally different trajectory…one with much hope and promise.
