Workshops and Training
Center for Spectrum Services offers workshops and trainings on numerous topics relevant to professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents.
Workshops are conducted by seasoned professionals in the autism field, including psychologists, clinical social workers, speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and behavioral specialists.
Professional & Para-Professional Trainings and Workshops
These classes include several courses for the educational professional, such as our month-long Summer Autism Training Institute, and our Fall and Spring Workshop Series. We also offer the Understanding Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Course, which is approved coursework training by the NYS Department of Education (NYSDE). We are also approved by NYSDE to provide the The Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Course, a six-hour training in harassment, bullying, cyberbullying and discrimination in schools.
Center for Spectrum Services is a NYSED approved sponsor of CTLE for certified classroom teachers, school leader professionals, and Level III teaching assistants. Trainings are also available upon request by districts to meet their supervision conference day needs.

Parent Trainings and Workshops
At Spectrum Services, we believe that parents must be partners in their child’s educational program. For this reason, we offer Parent Support and Parent Workshops free for any parent of a child with a developmental disability. Funding for coursework and childcare is provided through grants from the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities.
