Emergency Closing Days – Kingston

Dear Kingston Families & Guardians,

With spring break approaching, we wanted to provide an important update regarding inclement weather/emergency closing days.

For this 2023-2024 school year, there are seven total emergency closing days available (a.k.a. “snow days”). This allows for flexibility in the event of winter weather or other unexpected closures.

As of March 8, two inclement weather/emergency closing days have been used so far this school at our Kingston school. Five inclement weather/emergency closing days remain.

Please also remember that emergency closing days can be used for a variety of situations beyond winter weather, including flooding, power outages, or other hazards. This would then change the school closings.

Here is an overview showing how any unused inclement weather/emergency closing days remaining will be handled by CSS Kingston.

Please note that additional days have been added to spring break. Therefore, spring break will be March 25-April 2.
