Sandra Brownsey, MS CAS

Educational Program Coordinator, Ellenville School

Sandra is a Certified Special Education Teacher and a School Administrator. For over thirty years, she has been working with students on the autism spectrum and their families from throughout the Hudson Valley.

Sandra has been with Spectrum Services since 2012, and is the Program Coordinator of our Ellenville School, responsible for ensuring it runs smoothly, remains safe, and provides an excellent learning environment for our students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Sandra oversees all of our Special Educators and teaching staff, and is an active member of our leadership team.

In addition to the operational aspects at the school, Sandra provides on-going staff trainings, seminars to parents and caretakers, and classes to professional and paraprofessionals who work with children on the spectrum. She also consults with school districts and assists in the development of new classes for students with autism.

Sandra is a graduate of SUNY Cortland and Long Island University. Her administrative field work focused on the development of anti-bullying curricula. She is approved by the NYS Education Department as a provider of training in the needs of children with autism, and as a Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) trainer. Sandra is also a certified yoga instructor with a background in yoga for children with autism and special needs.
