Brian Schug, Jr. CEP CHMM

Secretary, President of Catskill Consultants, Inc.

Brian’s background in construction and his specialties in municipal planning and zoning development, brought a strong knowledge and experience to our Board in policy, planning, and organizational development. Brian has a deep understanding and familiarity in site construction management, consulting services, and client representation. Brian attended Niagara University, where he volunteered as a campus medic in 1984. He also served as Commissioner of the Ellenville Fire District from 2004-2009, and served as Chairman of the Town of Wawarsing Planning Board from 2010-2014.

Brian is a rookie on the Board, having joined in 2016. Sitting on the Spectrum Services Board of Trustees has enlightened Brian to the everyday challenges and constraints faced by running a high-quality educational facility within a reasonable budget.

Brian gained his passion for Spectrum Services while volunteering on a playground build at our Ellenville School. During the project, Brian saw the overwhelming joy the children experienced just from watching their new slides, swings, and play houses being built. Brian told himself that there is something special about this place; from the director to the teachers, from the admin staff to the janitors, each and every one of them seemed to CARE.

Brian was so moved by what he saw, and the passion for raising the quality of life for these precious children, he knew he’d help out however, and wherever he could. We were honored when he agreed to join our Board of Trustees, knowing his efforts would contribute to bringing joy to our students, and expanding their quality of life provided by the program, and in supporting the professionals who manage and run the organization.
