This workshop is for you! In this training, participants will learn the importance of focusing on building communication skills with their learners. We’ll discuss the relationship between challenging behavior and the inability to request. We’ll review each system (sign, PECS and Voice Output) and learn how to create opportunities for use throughout the day. Participants will also learn important error correction procedures.
Our learning objectives:
* Participants will be able to explain why functional communication training is the cornerstone to an effective program.
* Participants will be able to demonstrate teaching and error correction procedures for the different systems of communication.
* Participants will learn documentation procedures for effective data collection.
