Play: Why is it Important

May 9, 2019 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

This workshop will focus on learning the developmental levels of play. We will explore the significance of play, and how it teaches social communication skills, emotional self-regulation, and perspective taking through joint attention. This workshop is designed for active participation. Expect to share your own experiences of playing with your child, brainstorm strategies with others to deepen engagement with your child, while also continuing to further develop their play and social skills. Come ready to talk and play!

Presented by Anna Millenson, LCSW and Denise Henn, LCSW

Groups are free of charge for families of a child with a developmental disability. For some workshops, parents can view it live from their home computer. Please send requests and RSVPs to Leah Siuta, (845) 336-2616 x120, or LSiuta@centerforspectrumservices.org
