Play is so imperative for all children, regardless of their age. Over the last year, as we are living through a global pandemic, families have found themselves in their homes more than ever.
Playing with your child is easy and you might have all you need in your own homes already. Some play may involve creative visualization, storytelling, book reading, playing with toy kits, puppets, dolls, action figures, crafts and/or water play.
A short amount of “play” time with your child can open up reciprocal communication, help them learn to express themselves in healthier ways, become more empathetic and discover positive ways to connect with others.
