Part of our Spring Workshop Series
These workshops provide parents and caretakers a more academic look at the multi-faceted issues surrounding autism. This is why these workshops are also offered to professional and paraprofessional educators in the area who wish to better understand their own students with autism. They are offered free for family members and primary care givers of individuals with ASD, and are $65 per workshop ($150 for all three) to interested professionals and paraprofessionals. All are held at our Kingston location.
About this Workshop
In this workshop attendees will gain tools to help create a positive living and learning environment for an individual with autism. Participants in this workshop will learn:
Evidence based positive behavior support strategies
To identify function of behavior
To use reinforcement as an integral component of all teaching programsTo identify appropriate replacement behaviors
To understand how to use and analyze data
To understand antecedent and consequence strategies
Strategies on how to decrease challenging behavior
As part of this workshop case studies and activities will be provided to enhance learning.
