August 28, 2024
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
It’s hard to believe that it is the end of August, and the new school year begins next week. We are thrilled to embark on another exciting year, filled with opportunities to expand and strengthen our commitment to meeting each child’s unique needs.
The back-to-school season is a time when parents, caregivers, family service coordinators, related service providers, and special educators come together with a shared goal: to ensure a smooth transition for the young people in our care. Establishing strong communication between home and school is crucial for a successful start and a productive year ahead. We look forward to working closely with you to help our students reach their highest potential.
Our first day of school for students is next Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
The school day runs from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Please note that students will not be dismissed before 2:15 PM unless prior arrangements have been made with the school.
Regular attendance is essential for your child to benefit fully from the resources and expertise our special educators offer. To minimize disruptions to your child’s education, we encourage you to plan vacations around the holidays listed in our school calendar. You can access the 2024-2025 school calendar by Clicking Here.
As with any new school year, there may be some initial challenges with transportation. Coordinating student pick-up across multiple routes can be complex, but please know that these issues typically resolve within a few days. If you encounter any problems with your child’s transportation, I encourage you to contact your home district, as they are responsible for organizing and providing student transportation. While we will do our best to assist, transportation logistics are ultimately beyond our control.
Our team at Center for Spectrum Services is here to support you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need assistance or have any questions.
Sincerely,
Charlotte Mennona
Executive Director
