In Spectrum Services sibling groups, the siblings of the special needs children get to talk about how their lives have been affected by the autism disorder. They can express their frustrations and concerns with other children that are going through it at the same time… The children in these groups also get to know what it is like to have autism.Ellen

Our social skills groups serve children and young adults with high- functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome. Groups focus on enhancing communication, play skills and awareness of feelings in oneself and others. Through skilled guidance, participants learn the specific tools necessary to make friends and play cooperatively. Young adult groups focus on learning and refining the skills necessary to develop and maintain relationships including initiating friendships, increasing connectedness with others, and building self-advocacy skills.
