Raising a child with autism can be quite isolating and depressing. The monthly support and discussion group has helped me to find friends who understand what I am going through... Just knowing that there are others going through similar situations can help me to relax, laugh a little and continue persevering for my son.Karen

About the Center for Spectrum Services

For nearly thirty-five years, the Center for Spectrum Services (formerly known as The Children’s Annex) has been improving the lives of people with autism.  Since its inception, the agency has earned a national reputation for excellence in serving people across the autism spectrum.

Spectrum Services' day school programs in Kingston and Ellenville serve children between the ages of 2 and 12, while community based pre-school programs focus on children between the ages of 2 and 5.  Students from ten counties and more than 50 school districts throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley are at the heart of the Center for Spectrum Services' educational program.

The Spectrum Services Clinic now offers diagnostic evaluations for people of all ages.  It provides training for parents and professionals, consults to schools and agencies as well as social skills groups and counseling for children and adolescents with high-functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome.
